OSAGO, or Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability Insurance, is a policy designed to protect drivers from potential financial consequences associated with damage to property or the health of third parties in road accidents. OSAGO is mandatory for all car owners in Uzbekistan, ensuring the safety of both drivers and other road users.

Why is OSAGO necessary?

1. Compliance with the law.
Every driver in Uzbekistan is required to have a valid OSAGO policy. Failure to do so can result in significant fines and legal problems.

2. Financial protection. The policy covers the costs of compensating for damages to victims, allowing you to avoid significant financial consequences in the event of an accident for which you are found at fault.

3. Confidence on the road. Having an OSAGO policy means you can act with confidence in the event of an accident—the financial risks will be covered by the insurance.

How does a compulsory motor third-party liability insurance policy work?

The policy covers damages caused to you by third parties or their property as a result of an accident. For example, if you damage someone else's car or injure a pedestrian, the insurance company will compensate the injured party for damages up to the coverage limit. However, it's important to note that a compulsory motor third-party liability insurance policy doesn't cover your own vehicle, so many drivers also purchase additional policies, such as comprehensive motor insurance.
